Taiwan International Design Competition “Restore” Nominated- Wheel Umbrella
When children taking an umbrella, it usually drag on the ground because of the umbrella is too long or too heavy. It is hard to keep umbrella in midair with long time. How about, add a wheel under the umbrella?
Designed with Lin Chen-Han, Chun Yu-Shun and Chen Shau-Chen.
Time shouldn’t be absolutely, it should be the sincere feeling in the mind. By open and fold of the honeycomb cushion, it mix wonderfully with the light.
As the time goes on, honeycomb cushion interpret the time by light and shadow, it keep opening to the most beautiful shape, just like the sun is powerful at noon. While time is diminish, the honeycomb cushion close slowly,along with the silence of mid night.
Maybe you will ask: Is this the clock?I will say: This is the spirit !
Pythagoras though that everyone on the world need to know geometry . The great theory at math history- Pythagoras' Theorem , benefit lots of people’. We use the triangle as the basic, we believe this is the challenge, this is the mind that respect to great people.
Geometry has infinite possible- infinite possible angle、edge length, extend to infinite possible of usage and combination. The good product should that user give its value and attitude. We add the user original create essential between the carpet、chair and sofa, that everyone who use this product have the unique one. Geometry can be unit, can be whole, can be the hope.
This tumbler stick is designed for senior users. In the process of using the stick, the special balance design will solve the problem of inconvenience, and the stick may become a kind assistant of users.
Problem:
1. Seniors have to bend down whenever stick is falling down, and it is a heavy loading on waists for seniors.
2. Users have to keep holding the stick or find the place to rely against it.
3. There is stick with feet in market. The feet is heavy and occupies too much spaces. It is inconvenience to use it when climbing the stairs.
4. Stick can’t stand independently on slope.
Solution:
1.”Balance Stick” would not fall down and stand very well therefore bending down is not necessary.
2. It is unnecessary to keep holding the “Balance Stick”, neither relying on. Hands are free.
3. The base of ”Balance Stick” area is tiny to pass through stairs. It will be easier to climb the stairs.
4.”Balance Stick” can stand independently on slope.
